The world of whisky is about to be shaken up by a groundbreaking new release. Moët Hennessy, in collaboration with global icon Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, proudly announces the launch of SirDavis, an innovative and award-winning American whisky that’s set to redefine the category.

A Visionary Collaboration

SirDavis is more than just a whisky; it’s a bold statement in the spirits world, reflecting the shared vision of two cultural powerhouses. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, known for her passion for Japanese whisky, partnered with Moët Hennessy to create a whisky that embodies tradition while pushing the boundaries of flavor and craft.

"I've always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling," says Beyoncé, the founder of SirDavis. "When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy."

The Craft Behind SirDavis

Crafted under the expert guidance of Dr. Bill Lumsden, a five-time International Whisky Competition Master Distiller of the Year, SirDavis is a unique blend that challenges conventional whisky norms. The mash bill—comprising 51% rye and 49% malted barley—provides a foundation for its bold and sophisticated profile. What truly sets SirDavis apart is its secondary maturation in sherry casks, which imparts rich layers of dark red fruits, clove, and cinnamon, offering an elegant yet robust flavor.

The whisky’s distinctiveness has not gone unnoticed. SirDavis was anonymously submitted to prestigious spirits competitions and emerged victorious, earning top accolades including Best In Class for American Whiskey at the 2023 SIP Awards, a Gold Medal (95 points) from the New York International Spirits Competition, and a 93-point rating from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

A Tribute to Legacy and Craftsmanship

SirDavis is named in honor of Davis Hogue, Beyoncé’s paternal great-grandfather, a farmer and moonshiner during Prohibition. His legacy, once hidden in the cedar trees of the American South, now lives on through SirDavis, a whisky that stands proudly on the top shelves of fine spirit purveyors around the world.

The bottle itself is a work of art, featuring a tall, striking design with ribbed glass that beautifully catches the light. A black medallion with a regal bronzed horse—a symbol of strength and respect, and a nod to Beyoncé’s Texas roots—adds to the bottle’s luxurious appeal.
