Tequila Don Julio and Fashion Designer Willy Chavarria Unveil the Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition Bottle
Tequila Don Julio, the original luxury tequila of Mexico, has partnered with award-winning Mexican-American fashion designer Willy Chavarria to launch the Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition bottle. This limited-edition release celebrates Mexican culture and heritage, beautifully timed for Día de Muertos.
Inspired by his upbringing in California's San Joaquin Valley and his love for art and luxury design, Chavarria brings a fresh, modern take to the bottle’s design. His signature style combines roses with classic Mexican iconography from the Día de Muertos holiday, encapsulating the vibrant spirit of Mexico.
"I am deeply inspired by my Mexican heritage which I strive to represent through my art and design," says Chavarria. "The Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition bottle is a heartfelt illustration of the synergy between time-honored tradition and Mexico's modernism."
First introduced in 2012 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Don Julio González's impact on the tequila industry, Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino is aged for 18 months in American white oak barrels. It’s the first Añejo Cristalino to use a charcoal filtration process, resulting in a pure, crystal-clear tequila that balances the rich complexities of an Añejo with the crisp agave flavors typical of a Blanco.

The Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition bottle, priced at $69.99 for a 750ml bottle, will be available at select retailers nationwide this fall. Celebrations will roll out across the U.S., starting with Willy Chavarria's Spring/Summer 2025 runway show in New York City, and continuing with Mexican Independence Day in Chicago and Día de Muertos in Los Angeles.
