Chauncey Billups, former NBA player and current head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1997 after playing for the Colorado Buffaloes. He had a 17-year career, most notably with the Detroit Pistons, winning the NBA Finals MVP in 2004 and earning the nickname “Mr. Big Shot” for his late-game heroics. A five-time NBA All-Star, three-time All-NBA selection, and two-time NBA All-Defense selection. Billups amassed 15,802 points, 2,992 rebounds, and 5,636 assists. He will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2024.
