Our limited Bottled-in-Bond releases are a special tribute to Colonel James E. Pepper, an instrumental advocate for the passage of the B.i.B Act of 1897, which assured consumers of the standard of the whisky in the bottle. In fact, the B.i.B. tax stamp seal across the cork of bottles against tampering. The first distiller in Kentucky to bottle his whiskey at the distillery, Pepper’s trademark “signature strip label” was a guarantee of the quality within the bottle.
