The Midway Distilling Company operated from 1916 to 1920 in Midway, KY, Kentucky’s first railroad town. Production was suspended due to wartime prohibition, which restricted the use of grains for food. Midway Distilling barrels were then bottled as medicinal spirits until 1924 when the distillery and its remaining inventory were destroyed by fire.
Lee's Branch Release
Lee’s Branch, a tributary of Elkhorn Creek, was the original water source for Midway’s first distilleries and named after surveyor Willis Lee. Mingling tradition and innovation, we finish the whiskey in toasted French Oak barrels to impart spicy, peppery notes for a new finish on an old favorite.
