Our 4-year-old Straight Rye Whiskey aged for an additional 1 year and seven months in barrels from Orchid Cellar Meadery and Winery’s “Knights” mead - a honey-lemon wine from a 200-year-old recipe from Roman Capuchin monks. These barrels add notes of ginger root, cinnamon, and vanilla, with a lingering heat.
